Frazee Community Center: A San Bernardino Community Outreach

Founded in 1947, the Frazee Community Center is a San Bernardino nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families facing economic hardship. While our programs have evolved over the years, our mission remains the same — to provide stability, dignity, and opportunity to those in need within our community.

Today, Frazee Community Center focuses on providing low-income and very-low-income housing to qualified residents in the San Bernardino area. We offer safe and supportive living environments designed to help individuals and families maintain stability and rebuild independence.

Like many organizations, the COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes to our operations. Our meal service, clothing closet, and certain outreach programs were discontinued, and we experienced leadership transitions following the loss of our interim director. Despite these challenges, the Board of Directors remains committed to rebuilding and strengthening the Center’s impact.

Looking ahead, Frazee Community Center plans to pursue VA Grant-Per-Diem funding to restore transitional housing opportunities for veterans and continue expanding housing support for those who need it most.

Through community partnerships, grants, and donations, we continue working toward a stronger and more compassionate San Bernardino — one household at a time.
